June. 2021 Hey There, It's hard to believe the kind of year this has been for all of us. I am very grateful to have gotten through in good health. All live shows were cancelled but we did a surprising number of zoom shows. I also took the time to write a script and gather a great team to safely to create my first film. What Happened at the Veterans Home? Film is the hardest art form I've ever engaged in and I learned a lot. I particularly enjoyed composing the music, although lockdown made recording and collaborating a major challenge. I'm very proud of the work we did under difficult circumstances. Please see the film section to watch the trailer and read more detailed info. After we apply to film festivals, we hope in several months that you will be able to eventually watch it on a streaming service. In the meantime, we are booking concerts like crazy for the upcoming two years. I am very grateful for it all and hope to see you all soon in person! Love, Laura
I am very excited about the new CD Flying. Took a risk opening the album with 3 ballads but I figured, what the hell, I might as well just put it out there. Flying is a very intimate collection of real life, mostly guitar based story songs, recorded as if I were sitting on the edge of the bed singing and playing with a few friends on a summer night. I wrote these songs to help me figure things out. I don’t know if anyone will like this album but I’m proud of it.
